Provincial lockdown closes municipal services in Dryden

The Town of Dryden is shutting down municipal services effective Saturday due to a province-wide shutdown.

DRYDEN – Due to the province-wide shutdown, the Town of Dryden is advising the public that the following municipal services will be closing or modifying their service;

Dryden Pool and Fitness Center closed from December 26, 2020 to January 10, 2021
Dryden & District Museum closed from December 26, 2020 to January 10, 2021
Dryden Arena Closed from December 26, 2020 to January 9, 2021
Curbside pickup at Dryden Public Library only December 29, 2020 – January 9, 2021

All essential emergency and basic services in the Town of Dryden will continue to function normally during this period.

For questions about COVID-19, people are encouraged to refer to public health and government sources for up-to-date and reliable information. Links to some of these sources can be found on the City’s website at www.dryden.ca/covid19.

To help slow the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wear a mask.
  • Avoid non-essential gatherings and outings – stay home as much as possible.
  • Practice appropriate physical / social distance – at least two meters apart.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and for 15 to 20 seconds each time.
  • Use hydroalcoholic gel.
  • Cough or sneeze into your arm.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, monitor and isolate yourself. Use the online self-assessment tool at covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
