MULTAN – Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi said on Sunday that providing basic amenities and state-of-the-art municipal services to the masses was the government’s top priority.
The parliamentary secretary expressed these views when laying the foundation stone for the new Union Council Sewer Line Project No.23 here.
He said the sewerage issues in the road areas of Manzoorabad would be resolved as the affected project would be completed by March 2022 at a cost of 150 million rupees. Qureshi said completing the sanitation project would bring great relief to the local people.
Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi said the government of the day was giving relief in the billions of rupees to control inflation.
He added that elevation projects including sewer lines, municipal services and road construction were being completed in PP-216 constituency at a cost of Rs 250 million. He said the government of Punjab is paying special attention to solving the city’s problems and added that billions of rupees have been released to solve the major sewage problem on a permanent basis. On this occasion, the local leaders of the PTI Muhammad Raza, Zahid Mahmood, Irfan Manzoor and others were present.
