Here’s how the Easter holidays will impact municipal services

Holiday hours will apply to the following municipal services from Friday April 15 to Monday April 18, 2022.

Roadside garbage collection and recycling scheduled for April 15 will move to April 16. Please ensure waste is at the roadside by 7am on Saturday.

Landfills and transfer stations will be closed on April 15, but will be open on April 16 and 18. Landfills and transfer stations are closed on Sundays. In addition, the Recycling Center will be closed on April 15.

Citizen service centers and libraries will be closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday, but will operate during normal business hours on Saturday.

Greater Sudbury’s pool and fitness facilities will be closed April 15 and 18. Hours of operation on April 16 and 17 vary by location. Please visit GreaterSudbury.ca for more information.

GOVA Transit will follow holiday routes and schedules on April 15 and 17. Buses on April 18 will follow a Saturday/Sunday service schedule. The Saturday transit schedule is not affected by the holiday weekend. Passengers must wear a mask when using public transport.

The Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter is closed to walk-in visitors. Residents wishing to adopt a pet should call 311 to schedule a visit. Appointments will not be available on April 15 and 18.
