BAHAWALPUR – Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of Bahawalpur Municipal Corporation Irfan Ali Kathia said the officers and staff of the municipal corporation should play their role in making the city clean and green.
He said strong measures should be taken to make the entry points to the city of Bahawalpur beautiful, attractive and clean. The seat of Additional Deputy Commissioner Farooq Qamar, City Deputy Commissioner Naeem Sadiq Cheema, Chief Officer Nasrullah Malik and officers from other departments were present on the occasion. The deputy commissioner responsible for maintaining the operational sewer system and water drainage should be provided. He said all the manholes in town should be covered. He said the street lights should remain functional. The agents and staff concerned must work actively in the field. Municipal services should be provided properly. Encroachment in the city should be removed, he said. The deputy commissioner said that the AC bus terminal should be made more beautiful. He said steps would be taken to provide better facilities to passengers. On this occasion, the general manager of the company Nasrullah Malik gave a presentation on the performance of the company.
